Travel through China

These pages show you many pictures about a travel through China, organized by Sawadee in 2001.

The pictures are divided in sections. Each section has a maximum of 10 pictures to keep the time for loading the page via a modem connection acceptable. Some pictures have a computer screen icon. When you click such an icon you will get a wallpaper of that picture. All wallpapers are collected here.

China	Pictures of Chinese people and Dutch people that where part of the group. This section has 18 pictures.
Beijing	With pictures of the Lama temple, The forbidden city, Summer palace and the Temple of Heaven.
Chinese wall	The wall at Simitai. In total the wall is 6000 km long.
Xi'an	The Terra Cota Army.
Xiahe	This Tibetan village is in the Gansu district. In the centre of the village is the Labrang monastery.
Festival	Big festival near Xiahe, lasting several days.
Grasslands	Ganjia grasslands, near Xiahe, Gansu Province.
Langmusi	The most Tibetan village outside Tibet, it has two monasteries. Most visitors go to Lesha's Cafe for diner.
Zoige	Over night stop between Langmusi and Songpan.
Songpan	Small city with a Tibetan atmosphere. It is a nice city with many wooden houses. From Songpan we made a hors trekking.
Horse trekking	Two days trekking from Songpan.
Erdaohai	National park near Songpan.
Chengdu	A big, modern city. Outside the city is the Panda Research Centre. The biggest and most popular temple in Chengdu is Wenshu Yuan.
Yangshuo	On the Li river, surrounded by the Karst mountains.
